Will the weather affect the Kansas City Real Estate Market?
A client asked,"Will the weather affect the Kansas City Real Estate Market?"
Last week the real estate marketing in Kansas City reminded me of old times. Many properties that haven’t been shown lately by coop agents had showings. Properties that were getting showings, had more showings. Some properties had multiple showings and a few properties had multiple offers. I lost track of my blogging because of the robust real estate market that Kansas City had experienced during the warm weather. Now that the weather has gone from the 70’s to the 30’s, what will happen to the real estate market in Kansas City? If this Monday morning is any indication, the buyers have decided to find a warmer environment. Monday mornings are typically the busiest day for me for phone and e-mail inquiries regarding properties I have for sale.
Today, I could hear a pin drop. I nearly called, T-Mobile, my cell phone provider to see if my phone was still working. As soon as I got ready to dial for help, my phone rang. It was a person representing a presidential hopeful. While I heard the short announcement, I was wondering in the back of my head, is it the weather or the political bombardment that is affecting the real estate market in Kansas City. What do you think?
